Salim Mehajer, The Rape Tape Scandal and MGTOWs

Firstly, I just really, really want to do a massive shout out to all the MRAs and MGTOWs out there. You are seriously awesome. Your ignorance, hatred, bigotry, sexism and extreme stupidity provides me with endless content to write about. On top of which, many of you are the reason my writing was originally discovered and published as a result.

So seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Please keep up your undeniable and infallible stupidity; it’s greatly appreciated.

Secondly, if you’re not Australian, you probably don’t know who Salim Mehajer is.

Salim Mehajer is a horrible, narcissistic human being (something that pretty much everyone in Australia was aware of before the rapes and abuse surfaced on A Current Affair. He actually released a video of him and his now-estranged wife, Aysha, and their ‘meeting’ that was entirely fabricated and nonsensical. Yes, he really created the below video.)

Anyway, videos recently surfaced that Mehajer had sent to his estranged wife after she had left him. In the videos, he repeatedly threatens Aysha and her family – including threatening to rape and kill both her parents if she didn’t call him. (She has an AVO out on him.)

However, for some unknown and ghastly reason, an MGTOW saw this video to help promote why men shouldn’t get married.

And, as I’m sure will be unsurprising to anyone that has a working brain and is not currently seeking one from that Wizard of Oz dude, the failing marriage is not the result of Mehajer or his extremely abusive behaviour.

They didn’t expose the fact that he is clearly abusive.

They definitely didn’t share the part of the video where he threatened to rape and kill her parents.

They did, however, talk about all the money Mehajer had spent on her (obviously avoiding the topic of what he spent so she’d look like his ideal woman) and how dare she leave him.

Yes, really.

They also only showed the part of the video where he repeatedly calls her a slut and accuses her of ‘fucking twelve men’. (Which I find so ironic, as MGTOWs and MRAs are always calling out feminists saying that they edit information to suit their needs … yet never seem to notice how frequently they do the thing they claim to hate.)

He actually doesn’t ever say she cheated on him.

For all we know, she did sleep with twelve men – before they even met.

And that’s okay if she did.

Even if she did cheat, that does not give him the right to threaten to rape and kill her parents.

Or any of the other vile abuse he sent her.

And let’s be clear: this is abuse.

It’s not a heated moment of passion and ‘true love’.

It’s abuse.

It also doesn’t matter how much a guy spends on you. If he’s abusive, you have every right to leave him. (In fact, many abusers use money to trap and manipulate their victims. Either they ensure their victim doesn’t have any funds to escape, or they use gifts to manipulate the victim into thinking that they’re really kind and loving and just made a mistake. Or both.)

No one gets to make you feel ashamed for making such a courageous decision.

No one.

Especially not ignorant idiots who have access to an audio device to create videos on YouTube.

But the MGTOWs are right about one thing: Mehajer is definitely not someone you should marry.

And perhaps, if all MGTOWs and MRAs support Mehajer, vetoing marriage is possibly the best idea you could have .

Because it would be truly awful to be married to a man like that (and yes, I’m including the man that made the video as well as every man that supports and likes it, as well as Mehajer).

And no: I’m not including the MGTOW video. They don’t deserve the traffic. And really, do you need to see that piece of garbage?

  1. I had never heard of MGTOW’s until this post. I Googled it so as not to ask, and I think that’s a good thing. Men like that should go their own way. Their own way right off a cliff. Seriously. What the hell is wrong with people like this? I don’t understand how someone could treat another person this way, and logic doesn’t even register with them.

    1. Ha ha ha no, logic really doesn’t. They are like despicable human beings. If Google offended you, avoid YouTube. They have some truly awful videos up there (which is where I stumbled across this one). The irony is, I wasn’t even looking. I’d just looked up to see the Salim video, and there it was. And with the title ‘Why You Shouldn’t Get Married’, I just couldn’t resist. I knew it was going to be a gold mine for a new post!
